Polkadots and Stardust

Last week I went a visiting to see a good friend
Charlotte Rhodes to talk about the launch of her label Polka Dots and Stardust

I don't know anyone quite like Charlotte, excitable, gorgeously bubbly and full of energy just doesn't even start to explain her personality. We were working together when we first met and found ourselves on a inspiration trip to LA, needless to say Charlotte was so beside herself with excitement that she wanted to capture every moment on film and was fervently snapping away at all the sights through the window of the hire car. Unfortunately this meant that no one was actually taking any notice of which direction we were heading so about 30mins out of the airport instead of Sunset Boulevard we had reached Compton!

I have never known Charlotte to be anything but obsessed by lingerie. She tells me this started when she was a Saturday girl at M&S,typically of Charlotte she was all trained and ready for action at 15 even though she couldn't start until she was 16.

I asked Charlotte a few questions about her new brand.

The Polkadots and Stardust label is all MADE IN THE UK with British and European fabrics and trims.
Inspiration comes via Charlottes love of Marilyn Monroe and the pin up 1950s era, artists Alberto Vargas and Gil Elvgren and more recently the Madmen series(She is the only person I know that can squeeze the excuse to dress up as Marilyn into the theme of any fancy dress party, see pic of her below)Polka dots feature in every collection, 'they never go out of style'
Charlotte looks up to brands such as Agent Provocateur,Curvy Kate and Playful Promises believing British Brands should support each other.
Charlottes first collection is full of pretty non wired bras, soft babydolls and flirty knickers, with beautiful attention to detail and is available to buy from her brand new website.
All pieces are easy fit so perfect for Xmas gifts!
Finally when I asked Charlotte what lingerie she was wearing of course it was Polkadots and Stardust, lucky ;)!
